BLOGMAS | Christmas Wishlist: Bookish Edition
What is Blogmas? Blogmas or Vlogmas is when bloggers / vloggers upload a post or video everyday counting down to Christmas. I’m participating in Blogmas this year. However, instead of posting everyday until Christmas I will be posting for 12 days which will be spread out in 24 days counting up to Christmas.
It’s that time of the year again where Christmas wish lists are a must for people who are difficult to shop for.
I’m guilty of making it a bit hard sometimes to get me presents although not on purpose. I think I have gotten to a point in my life where it doesn’t matter to me anymore if I get anything for Christmas. Ever since I had my daughter, most of my Christmas attention goes to her and the most important thing has been making sure she enjoys the holiday season.
This year though, my husband asked me to come up with a list of books I would like to receive for Christmas. He says it’s to help our daughter understand it’s something I enjoy and makes the present a bit more personal. So here I am writing a Christmas wish list for the sake of my 3-year-old.
Here are what’s on my list:
- The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
- They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera
- Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward
- Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
- The Divine Comedy by Dante
- It by Stephen King
- House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski
- Murder On The Orient Express by Agatha Christie
- The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
I have heard so many great things about these books and I wanted to see if the hype was all worth it. Also, having read Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles caught my interest into reading the rest of the series.
I did ask my husband to check out our local used bookstore first because books are a bit expensive brand new. I don’t want any unnecessary purchase made this holiday season if we can avoid it. 🙂
What about you? Do you have any bookish wishlist for this season? What about bookish recommendations?
